This free permit is available for anyone who resides within the City of Golden municipal limits. Register your vehicle license plate(s) to enjoy the following parking benefits:

• Free Two Hour Parking Registration: Utilize the free two hour parking zones in the downtown garages and surface lots without having to register your license plate each time you park.

• Golden Community Center, Lions Park and Playground: Access to the GCC lots (10th Street, 8th Street and the overflow lot) when they are permit parking only May 1 - October 1.

 

If you plan to park over the 2 hour limit or think you may, register online using Tap 'N Explore or by registering at a payment station. We recommend that residents who think they might park in excess of 2 hours register via Tap ‘N Explore immediately upon parking as the system to receive reminders and extend your time.

Please note that the Golden Resident permit does not allow parking in the neighborhood permit parking (NPP) zones - CLICK HERE for Map 'N Park. A separate Neighborhood Parking Permit is required to park in NPP zones.

• Proof of address required at registration (e.g. driver's license, utility bill, lease, etc.).
